Salsomaggiore and Tabiano are best known for their natural springs. The beneficial qualities and therapeutic benefits of the thermal water of Salsomaggiore are different than those of Tabiano, although the two places are only a few kilometres apart.

Verdi's country
Giuseppe Verdi was a frequent visitor of the Salsomaggiore Terme. These visits were not only beneficial to the body but also to his social life. It was here that he met members of the aristocracy, politicians and high society.
